Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

The barbecue event was a rare, but great opportunity to leave the school and to talk to fellow classmates and teachers outside of the usual academic setting.

Which co-curriculum classes did you find most satisfying?

The essay writing classes were useful in helping recall what we learned and making us practice handwritten Japanese in a limited amount of time.

Why did you select this program?

The KCP program has a reputation of being rigorous, and students said they learned a lot in their time here. As my personal goals require me to become functionally fluent and literate in a reasonable amount of time, I chose KCP to help get me there.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

The small group activities were good in that it made us interact with fellow classmates--with the associated communication efforts required to do so--in order to accomplish a specific task or goal.

What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?

The outings to various spots around Tokyo, especially for those who have never visited here before, were an effective, albeit surface introduction to what this dense metropolis has to offer.

Testimonials

I selected it because I wanted a reputable and intensive program that would take a student who’s no longer affiliated with a college. KCP was the only program I found that satisfied this criteria. It also helped a lot that my friend recommended it.
