I learned about Japanese mentality and why some people act the way they do.
Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?
I found the class trip to be very satisfying because it aloud a day of rest and bonding. Students were able to use their new knowledge in a practical environment.
What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?
Everything was productive and very interesting. I think that students should be encouraged to talk more, however.
What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?
I found the textbook and verbal examples to be best. I am a visual learner and work best with interactive lessons.

Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?
I loved that I had my room to myself and the dorm residents were extremely friendly. The women who worked in the building were amazing and kind.
Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?
I advise students to learn hiragana and katakana before entering the program. I want them to prepare to be pushed to limits as well.

The staff at KCP is wonderful and extremely helpful.
